Volunteer Profile Ragin and JoAnn Hause, CASA Volunteers, Hall-Dawson CASA, Gainesville, GA
Ragin and JoAnn Hause, CASA volunteers since April 2006 Ragin and JoAnn Hause are a husband and wife CASA team. On a recent case, they were assigned to four children who were removed from their home because of drug abuse by their parents. Since their parents were not able to break their drug abuse habit, the Hause's advocated for the children to be adopted. They were adopted and all four children are now thriving, including one sibling who is medically fragile. Ragin is retired from the United States Air Force. He loves hunting and his dog Sandy. In the past, he has been involved with the Dawson County Mentoring Program. JoAnn works full-time at Brenau College. Her hobbies include quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. The Hause's are also very involved with their church and have recruited other church members to get involved with Hall-Dawson CASA. Over 1,800 CASA volunteers, like Ragin and JoAnn, advocate for abused, neglected and abandoned children in Georgia, promoting safety, a permanent home and overall well-being for each child. You can get involved with a CASA program in your community!
